Former Prairie Hockey Academy student-athlete Van Huebner has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The Weyburn, SK defenseman joined Prairie for the 2023/24 CSSHL U15 Prep season tallying 7 points in 26 games. Last season Huebner playing 36 games with Prairies U17 Prep team recording 2 goals and 14 assists. He would add three points in five playoff games as Prairie made the finals of the 2025 CSSHL Western Championships.
Selected third overall by the Weyburn Red Wings at the 2025 SJHL Draft, Huebner was undrafted to the WHL.
